Delete Your Aweme Account

Aweme ("we", "us", "the app") lets you delete your account and all the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what gets erased.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

Open the Aweme app.
Tap the menu (☰) in the top corner.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm. Your account and data are erased immediately.

Delete by email

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the phone number associated with your account (or include it in the message) and ask us to delete your account. We will verify ownership and complete the deletion.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account immediately and permanently erases:

Your AI avatars, try-on images, and the photos you uploaded.
Data derived from your photos, including approximate body measurements.
Your style profile and personalization tags.
Saved looks (bookmarks), searches, and try-on history.
Your "Buy" / partner click-through history.
Your sign-in record. The phone number is freed for future sign-up.

This cannot be undone. Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot identify you may be retained, and copies in routine backups age out on their normal schedule.

Delete only some of your data (keep your account)

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. From inside the app you can delete data piece by piece, while keeping your account:

Delete an avatar — removes that avatar and its derived face/body and try-on images.
Delete a profile — removes an additional person's avatars and data under your account.
Remove a saved look — tap the bookmark again to unsave it.
Remove a personalization tag — open Menu (☰) → Preferences and delete any taste/style tag.

For any other partial-deletion request, email [email protected] from the phone number associated with your account, and tell us what you'd like removed.
