Aweme ("we", "us", "the app") is a virtual try-on app: you upload photos of
yourself, we generate a personal AI avatar, and we show you how clothing from
partner stores looks on you. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we
share it with, and how you can delete it.
By using Aweme you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use
the app.
Aweme is operated by the Aweme team. For any privacy question, data request, or
complaint, contact us at [email protected].
We collect only what we need to create your avatar and personalize your
shopping experience.

outcomes, collected via Google Firebase Analytics to improve the app. We
also store your gender as an analytics property.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, payment-card details, or
browsing activity outside the app.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share data only with the service providers that make the app work:
| Provider | What is shared | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| AI image-generation provider(s) | Your uploaded photos and the images derived from them | Generating and rendering your avatar and try-on images |
| Google Firebase / Google Cloud | Phone number (auth), photos, derived data, app records | Authentication, cloud storage, and database |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Usage events, your user ID, gender | Product analytics |
| Cuelinks (affiliate network) | A referral identifier and the product link when you tap "Buy" | Affiliate commission attribution |
| Partner stores (e.g. Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa) | Only the click-through when you choose to visit them | Letting you buy the item on their site |
| Cloudflare | Network traffic metadata | Content delivery and security |
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and our
agreements with them. Your photos are sent to a third-party AI image-generation
service only to generate your avatar and try-on images; they are not used by us
to train models.
Your images are stored privately in Google Cloud Storage and are served to you
only through short-lived, signed links. They are not publicly accessible.

You can delete individual avatars or profiles at any time inside the app. You
can also delete your entire account and all associated data (see below).
You can permanently delete your account from inside the app:

Confirming this immediately and permanently erases your avatars, uploaded
photos, derived face/body data, measurements, style profile, saved looks,
searches, purchase-click history, and your sign-in record. This cannot be
undone, and the phone number is freed for future sign-up.
You may also request deletion by emailing [email protected] from the phone
number associated with your account.
Access to your data is protected by Google Firebase Authentication. All data
access goes through our secured backend; our databases and image storage are
not directly accessible to other users or the public. Data is transmitted over
encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your
information.
Aweme is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used
the app, contact [email protected] and we will delete the data.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or
delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. You can
exercise deletion directly in the app, or contact [email protected] for any
other request.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated"
date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
